Smitten by Design Inspiration

Hello lovely readers! I came across a design 'story' today that totally captivated me.  Let me share...

I am 'in love'!  I absolutely fell in love with this entryway...everything about it.  The turquoise door is 'stunning' to me!  The design in the hardwood floors - beautiful. The lighting - both ceiling fixtures and table lamp - love!  The neutral 'sand color' as I now call it...such a soft backdrop... and all blended together! Smitten, yes, there is really no other word for it right now!

And, believe me, we've only just begun!
Same entryway...these luscious fabrics and bright colors just bring this foyer to life!  The artwork paired with these fabrics is PERFECT!  Now, look at the wide horizontal stripes on the walls...hello?  Is it just ME?  Gorgeous, huh?

Let's step into the great room, shall we...
Still 'smitten'!  Carrying through the 'sand color' in the area rug, sofa and club chairs, walls and draperies...makes it soft and easy on the eye.  Then...popped with flair with more stunning fabric on this accent chair and through-out with the art and a few accessories. But, even more added glamour - look up - at the ceiling color! I could easily see myself entertaining or just relaxing in here for sure!

And just for fun...here's a few more areas...
I'm SO in love...!

I'm even smitten by the simplicity in this room!

And this...I have decided...is certain to be the inspiration for my future "Bahama Hideaway Cottage".  Every element, to me, is just perfect!

Hope you enjoyed my Design Inspiration today!

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Weekend!

Sand and Sea Decor

Living and working in the sunshine state makes me more and more aware of the fabrics, rugs, accessories, etc...that remind me of the beautiful sand and sea that we are surrounded with here. This is just one example of a room that can be designed to reflect nature's beauty!

And just in case the tranquil color palettes of the 'sand and sea' tickle YOUR design fancy...here are a few more lovelies!

It can be much fun to add in accessories like this too!

How do ya like the little 'pop' of deeper reds mixed in here?
LOve this whole room.

Even though some of you don't actually live at the coast...do YOU have these serene coastal colors anywhere in YOUR home?  Just curious and we'd love to know!

I hope YOU have a...

Beautiful Winter Tablescape

I think winter months would be a little easier to tolerate if we surround ourselves with beautiful things we love (and people we love too, of course!) in our homes. Since we tend to spend more time indoors during this season (well maybe not so much here in sunshiny Florida) beautiful designs can help keep us inspired! Take a look at a lovely winter tablescape...

The sparkle on the table could remind you of 'ice' for these winter months...Brrr! So beautiful though.

What a great way to use all of those special handmade doilies so many of us have inherited from our grandmothers and great-grandmothers.  Just use them all the way down your table to make a 'custom' runner overlay.

A little texture on the table with these chargers and the colors here almost remind me of ... the sea and sand!  Now that's a WARMING thought for these cold winter days you may be experiencing!

How about YOU?  Do you have some extra beauty on your tabletops to enjoy during these long winter months?  We'd love for you to share your creative secrets if you'd like!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Happy New Year and Company Changes for 2015

Hello dear readers...and Happy New Year a little late!  We have some exciting changes that have transpired that we'd like to share with you.

We have made a move...to good 'ole sunshiny Florida. Yes, southwest Florida, so it's quite the change for us. We love it here and have continued onward with our interior design business...just in a much warmer climate no doubt!

Along with this change came...a company name change! Change is good, right? We are now...ARBORGATE INTERIORS LLC. We will still provide the same amazing interior designs as in the past 29 years and stellar customer service that will continue to surpass even our client's expectations. THAT is something that won't change!!!

We now also offer many new services to cover any and all needs our clients may have...no matter how large or how small a project is. We've already been working with many new clients here in Florida as well as designing some of their summer homes up north. We can also work with you and your friends or referrals...even LONG-DISTANCE...meaning no matter where you live! Close or far-away...it doesn't matter. That's right, we can work with you almost just like being right there in your home, but some of the process will be 'virtual'.  You will even have the option to have an interior designer and yet save on your budget if you prefer to 'manage' your own design project once we've created it for you. You'll know exactly what steps to take (at your own pace, of course) and exactly what to buy and where to place it.  Imagine!

We LOVE doing 'turn-key' design projects here with the local Florida residents as well as being able to continue working with all of our former clients (i.e. any upcoming projects you may have now) and referrals even though we've re-located! So if you, or anyone you know, desire to make your home more beautiful...be sure to contact us.

Yet another change is this...we are going to try and make a bit more time for this BLOG!  I admit, it's been ignored for awhile and pushed to the back burner because of our design projects and also our big move. Our interior design projects still take first priority around here, but our intention is to try and share a little more with our readers in 2015.  So, we are really glad you've stayed with us! May this be YOUR best year yet!
