Wishing I Was...

HERE! (Sorry for photos off the page, but the smaller size just didn't tell the story as well!)

LOOKING OUT OVER THIS...

OK, so I am not in reality today friends!  I admit it.  I am here, in the office, working on several projects for clients.  I HAD to take a quick break just to find some much needed inspiration to keep me going.  Is that CRAZY?  Maybe so, but it sure works for me.

You know I am "Naples crazy" these days!  I simply yearn to be there...every day.  I stumbled upon this home that I think I could just move right into (except for the fact that it's a penthouse...and well, maybe the 'way over the million dollar price' too!).  Want to see why it inspired me?

There is nothing like the sunsets there.  Bet you'd find me out there most every evening!

Need I say more?  Did you also see the pink accents...oh my!  Love it!  Even though I have an interior design business, it would be SO NICE to just move right into one that is already done and in my style and colors.  Now am I wishing dreaming today, or not?

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Island Style

A day at the beach...

Get the look coastal

well, dreaming of it anyway when I stumbled upon this!  However, this carefree look CAN be created in our own homes...to enjoy each and every day.  Here are a few pieces that would help create this dreamy design.

What about YOU...any "dreams" lately?

Tuesday Tip of the Day

I could be posting here about many other things that might just be more important right here at the holidays, but this keeps happening around our house...

Ok, I admit...this isn't really MY house, nor are these OUR shoes, but the situation is the same...shoes tend to end up all around the back door breezeway area!  Yikes!  I hate this!  You know...I need it to be clutter free!

I admit, we do need slip-on shoes at our back door since we step outside alot (especially with pets!) and because we don't wear our shoes in the house any more (new rule since the new flooring and because of all the...g-e-r-m-s on them!).

Well, I think I have the solution...nothing new, just that I saw one again and the "lightbulb" went off (you know, my mind finally clicked)...That's what WE need on our breezeway!  It's a simple, charming solution. (Oh, and I love these boots too! I may NEED them too - Ha!!)

This is just a Rubber Boot Tray from Ballard.  This will work perfectly out there.  We usually have three pairs that pile up there so they will all fit perfectly on this.  Ok, I know, sounds crazy, but I am super excited about this little rubber tray...!!!  Do I have any others out there that need to find that little bit of "perfection" outside of their back door?  Come on...be honest!  Do piled up shoes bother YOU as much as they do me?

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Things I LOVE...Day #7

Hi there!  Bet you thought I forgot about Day #7 of the things I love...nope, just a busy day.  So, on days like this if I haven't fully prepared for "blog-land", I must reveal an easy one.  For those that know me or have been reading for awhile, I'm sure this one is a no-brainer...well, maybe!

I love...

COASTAL LIVING MAGAZINE!

On days when it comes in the mail...let's just say for the next little while I am no good for anything!  I skim through it...drooling, of course...and then I hesitantly lay it down for a more appropriate time (usually days later!) when I can relax and enjoy every inch of it.  It is my very, all-time favorite magazine!

Well, that's it for today!  Do you subscribe to any magazines that "mesmerize" you? Perhaps you do...do tell.

Have a "Simply Irresistible" rest of the Day!

TGIF...Beach Blast

OK, I must admit...I have the BEACH on my brain.  For those that don't know me well....I simply am a true "beach girl".  I love the coast!  Just ask anyone that knows me.  I am glad it is Friday again, believe it or not, and since visions of beach-time are on my mind and I do believe I also hear the ocean calling my name....oh, and the sand too...today I'm sharing some beach designs that have me drooling and yearning for the coast!

I usually think of light and airy colors for the beach, however I am intrigued by this room design using dark color.  I think the reason for this is that it is tastefully put together with lots of white (makes it seem more "airy") and the artwork over the bed enhances the beach theme.  Lovely, don't you think?

This is lovely to me, of course because of seashells (and LOTS of them), but look at how it is also dressed up with the use of silver accessories and antique wall sconces! Ooh-la-la...or should I say "Simply Irresistible"!

I love the simplicity and color in this room...however, any room that has palm trees is "inviting" in my book.

Here I love not only for the bright fun colors, but for the view of course...more palm trees...real ones!  No doubt I'd spend time out here on my vacation.

I love white cabinets when they are put with hardwood flooring...love the contrast!  When you add in this much turquoise (another "fave" of mine) AND it's at the beach...let's just say it has my name all over it. Ha!

It's mostly just the "beachy" feel and simplicity of this one that has me yearning for a beach vacation....soon!

And I bet you'll never guess what it is I'm drooling over in this room?  Any idea?  First, I will mention that this is a great example of using all white and then popping in one color that's your "fave"....and it can be changed out easily as you tire of it or just want a change.  Now, back to my question.....THE VIEW, of course!

OMG...another great view!  But again, white with hardwoods...and PINK.  I could sit out here for hours!  Hum...maybe I'd even take my laptop out here and get some blogging posts done...I think I would be very inspired in a spot like this!

This room just speaks for itself...the colors, linens, artwork, pillows, flowers, draperies..."Simply Irresistible" to me.  How 'bout you?

Maybe "this" is the spot to take my laptop.  Could YOU get any serious work done here?  I truly think I could especially with the sound of the ocean so close. I love the simple table too, don't you?

Thanks so much for stopping by our blog today! I hope you are feeling a little more relaxed from these inspiring photos and that you...

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Weekend!
Ta-Ta!
