Knock, Knock...

Who's there?  What will people see when they knock on YOUR door this holiday season?  Here's a few great ideas I ran across and thought would be perfect...

Picture frame decoration
A picture frame, berries and a bow...simple and lovely!

Garden inspired garland
If you want to go "all out" this year...how about this garden inspired garland that's made with evergreen branches, pine cones, magnolia leaves, berries and apples.  Beautiful, don't you think?

Star Christmas wreath
I thought this was a simple and sweet holiday look!

 Matching wreaths
Try matching wreaths with ribbon...always a great look!

Outdoor doorway 2
Isn't this just grande?  When one wreath just won't do...try three, putting the largest one in the middle and adding in plenty of ribbon.  Adorn any planters you may have with branches and berries...oh, and even a little "fake" snow if you don't have the real thing!

Traditional Christmas wreath
This one is for those of you with a more traditional style...and how hard is this, right?  "Simply Irresistible" though!

 Sleigh with garland swag
You can even go for a vintage sled beside the door...just dress it up a bit for the holidays.

Presents and wreaths
Now THIS has to be MY fave so far...stacked presents instead of plants...I love it...how creative.  Oh, and you know I love this holiday red rug added to pop more color outside.  Love it, love it, love it!

Cheery Christmas porch
For those of you that want to really light up the front porch area...an outside tree with lots of lights is sure to do just that.  How cozy and inviting!

Hope these help get your creative juices flowing...any ideas of your own?  If not, maybe one of these will work. This year when people stop by and "Knock, Knock"...they are sure to be amazed by all the beauty at YOUR front door!

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Time for Seasonal Changes

Don't you just love these cool mornings!  I certainly do! I now can enjoy my early cup of morning coffee out on the front porch. Yippee! Seasons change...and when that happens it's also time to make some decor changes, wouldn't you agree?  And...the front porch is a great place to start.

I know this isn't a front door...but it's a wreath I found that I really like since it has some red tones in it and less orange.  For me, I tend to lean more towards the reds and golds for Fall, but I do like other colors too.  This wreath, or a similar one, would be a great way to welcome your guests at the front door...don't you think?

Then I have found these wonderful Fall colored outdoor pillows (here) for the front porch chairs.  Aren't they lovely with this wreath?

And here's a look at these Harvest Bouquet pillows on a deck...with a lovely gold throw.  I'd say these looks would definitely welcome in Fall...and your guests...how about you?

And it's always nice to add in a couple topiaries in decorative planters...if you have the space for them on the porch by the door.

Do you have any Fall ideas for YOUR outdoor entrances?  Be sure to update these areas and incorporate your favorite Fall colors.  Oh, and keep in mind, it's also a great time to brighten up your doors with a fresh coat of paint if needed!  Fall is definitely "in the air"!

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Happy Monday!

HAPPY MONDAY, friends!  As we welcome the start of another work week, I thought I'd share a few "welcoming" inspirations with you. Have you ever thought about what your front door says to someone who knocks?  The outside entrance should be cozy and inviting.  A painted front door is a great place to start... and to say..."Welcome, come in!"

I love using Sherwin Williams paint on our design projects (and my own home) so I matched these amazing colors to some of S & W's colors just to give you an idea. (Keep in mind that monitor resolutions may differ) Hope this helps a bit! Enjoy!

Of course, I saved the best for last...PINK (you know me...my fave color!). But, just so you'll know, my front door is NOT pink!

So, which one did YOU choose to say "Welcome" to your guests? You may even have another color in mind.  Please share your thoughts if you'd like.  Why not go ahead and add this little project to your "honey-do" list...or...call in the professionals (after all, it may get done sooner this way! Ha!).

I hope you enjoyed and were inspired by today's feature topic. Now, go make this a Happy and "Simply Irresistible" Monday!Ta-Ta till next time!
