FUN Client Challenge - Progress Update #2

Thanks for stopping by again today!  I thought I'd now share with you the design styles we are using for this entire house of custom window treatments that we decided to share with you.  Want to see?  We are excited that you can go through the process with us!

Great Room
Just ignore any additional 'notes' you may see on sketches for our workroom!

Dining Room - except not using trim in here

 Master Bedroom - Bay Area
Shown here with Cascades UNDER swags (give my clients the choice!)
Again, ignore our 'ramblings' with the sketches please!

How it will look on their window...with choice of Cascades OVER the swags...which, by the way, is the 'look' she likes best so this is what it will be.

 Single Window in Master Bedroom

 "His"  Home Office

 Laundry Room
Colors in fabric really don't show up well here

Kitchen

 Guest Bathroom
This is Indoor-Outdoor Fabric because this is a window INSIDE of the shower.

 Guest Bedroom -1
We will decide this week IF using trim or not - she isn't sure yet if she wants it or not.

 Guest Bedroom - 2
These draperies will be shorter as they will hang down to the window ledge behind the leather headboard she has...see below (yes, greenery that's there will GO!).  We will have cream bedding and pop this fabric above again with a custom dust ruffle and a couple pillows on the bed...FUN pattern!

That's it all except for the Master Bathroom sketch, which I have saved in a program that won't let me download to this and I just don't have the time to re-save this morning!  Sorry, but hopefully you'll get to see the finished window treatments in the end.  Now, we are pricing the job, selecting the hardware (depends on finishes and projections needed, etc.) and then we'll move on to...all the purchasing of the fabrics....work-orders for the workroom with all the gazillion details, etc.....!  There is NEVER a dull moment around here, that is for sure!  We LOVE what we do!

We hope you will be back for more on this design project.  I thought this would be a great time to show you this stage of the process since we've been talking about how window treatments 'soften' our rooms....no doubt!

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Laundry Room Beauty...Really?

Does the laundry at your house seem to grow overnight?  Mine surely does!  I can have it all caught up and actually feel so good having tackled and accomplished it all (by the way, I'm sort of a type "A" and can't stand much of it laying around waiting on me!)...and then all of a sudden there is another pile to be done! Yikes!  Anyway, on that note, I thought we'd look into another area of our homes that may also be overlooked as having a need to be part of a design plan...and that is the LAUNDRY ROOM.  Let's take a look...

Look familiar...in desperate need of a makeover?

Love this cheerful golden yellow!

Check out this fun wallpaper - a clothes line!

A touch of tradition here...and with a chair to cozy up and read that book you've been wanting to finish all while the laundry is being done...Ah!  This changes the meaning of "doing laundry"...don't ya think?

Even a painted ceiling in this one!

I know I used this photo in our "For the Love of Pink" post, but I just love this room and the simplicity of it so I wanted to post it here. Wallpaper and artwork...how simple is that?

A fresh new color will do wonders alone for this area! Go ahead...be daring!  It's just paint!

I love the use of accessories here.

Many more accessories...love the personality it creates!

How's this to wake you up in the morning to do the laundry?  Bright and Cheerful!

We tend to spend a lot of our time in this area of our home, don't we?  Then why shouldn't we make it "eye candy" so we can enjoy the task of doing laundry a little more?  Use a theme and colors that make YOU happy.  Be sure to even include some special touches like a rug, artwork, even a mirror.  Whatever things inspire you...use them.  You will then find yourself leaping out of bed to get started on the laundry (well, maybe not leaping, but it surely will wash away that dread a little)!!!

We'd love for you to share how this inspired you to make some changes in your laundry area. Be sure to let us know if you step out and try this...and how it effects the task of doing the laundry!

I hope each and every one of you are having a blessed week (and remembering to reach out and bring sunshine into someone else's life each day!) Now, go and make it a "Simply Irresistible" Day!
