Weekend Fun

Happy weekend dear readers!  I certainly hope wherever you are that none of those horrendous storms effected you or your family! My heart goes out to all of those that were in their paths. I am praying for you!


With spring quickly approaching I thought I'd share with you just a little "fun" something that I ran across.  (Remember, well HOW could you forget, that I love PINK!!)

One of my pet-peeves is a messy garage.  Yep, I just can't take it! With warm weather around the corner I thought this might just be a good project.  I'd LOVE for my garage to look like this...and yes, even with all the PINK!  Ha!  I'm not sure my hubby would go for the pink door (but it surely is pretty cool) but he might be OK with a pink drop cord, step ladder, rake...what do ya think?  Hum, maybe not since HE will be the one using them more than ME!  It sure is attractive in the garage though and would definitely make my coming in and going out (of the garage) a little more pleasant.

Ok, NOW what do you think hubby will say about this cheerful garage...in PINK?  I honestly had no idea all of this stuff was available in pink!! Well, it was a nice thought, but maybe our garage can at least be this organized this year!  Hopefully!  "Honey-Do List"...here I come!

Things I Love...Day #8

Color...we all love color, right?  Well, how do you feel about the Power of PINK...which is a color I absolutely love!

This would indeed be my ideal pink bedroom (ah!  even pink palm trees on the walls!!)...paired with the crispness of white...good night dear readers....oh, OK - I'm not done yet!  

Now you will notice that on my days of Things I Love...you will NOT see...cooking!  I like to cook (OK I admit, only if I HAVE to!), but I certainly don't love it.  However, a girl might could change her opinion about that if this were the kitchen...visions of PINK everywhere!  Even the mixer...love it!

I just adore this splash of pink with this black and white...it's "Simply Irresistible" when paired together, I think. Not to mention all the other fun colors!

Even the pale pinks will do the trick for me...this is another yummy pairing of it with the crisp clean whites.  (I may just change rooms tonight....what do ya think?  This one is tempting too!)

Even a pink ceiling will work...for me!

I'm liking all these pinks...everywhere...and check out those mats in these prints...I think I'll be having breakfast HERE in the morning!!

Malibu Birthday Blast...

With today being a special day (well, for ME anyway) I thought I'd show you a fabulous birthday party bash. It was that of Barbie's...to celebrate her 50th birthday. Renowned designer, Jonathan Adler, decorated the Malibu beach house using his signature bright colors with bold patterns...and, of course, he emphasized her love of PINK (sound familiar?).

Isn't this fun and amazing with all the bright colors...and look at the back of those chairs!

What about these pink poodles?  For those of you that know me...I love PINK and POODLES.  I could move right in, Ha!

Check out the artwork on the walls...the carpeting, rug, screen, pillows...well, just check it all out....bold and beautiful, right?

How about a Billiard Room...up for a game of pool, anyone?

Here's a  luxurious bedroom "dripping" with fabric on the walls and ceiling.  I love the punch of navy in the rug...and the pattern.

And to top that off...look at this amazing PINK closet...filled to the brim with PINK shoes.  I'd say it surely does look like it's fashioned for Barbie herself, wouldn't you?

You've just got to love this wall decor made with Barbie...lots of Barbies!  How creative!  Wouldn't you have loved to just go through this beach house to see it all up close and personal?  I surely would!

So, there, you have it...a "Simply Irresistible" birthday Malibu beach house in honor of Barbie.  I must admit that I grew up playing with Barbie...did you?  However, for my special day today (OK, yes, it's my birthday!) I won't have a retreat like this to celebrate in, but I will be taking the day off (the whole day!) to enjoy.  My mom is taking my son and me to lunch, then I may do a little shopping perhaps, and then dinner and birthday cake tonight with my hubby and son.  I grew up absolutely loving, I mean loving, birthday cake!  Not just any birthday cake, but those made by a special bakery in my home town. Well, I haven't had one from there is years...so my son has ordered me a special one just for today from the fabulous Sweet Shoppe Bakery.  Isn't that so sweet of him? I know my day will be blessed! 

I hope you have a "Simply Irresistible" Day as well.
