Things I LOVE...Day #20

Today I will share with you my love of...SCRAPBOOKING! Well, let's just say I do love it, but it seems I never have the time to do it anymore.  Can we find a way to just slow life down a bit?  Is it possible?  I really enjoy looking at other's scrapbook pages or cards...and then finding room designs that remind me of the scrapbook design. How about YOU...do any of you find scrapbooking as fascinating as I do?  The pattern mix-and-match, color coordinating, embellishing with all sorts of unique things...is just like interior design to me!  Just on a much smaller scale. Crazy, I know, but that is really how I feel when I design a layout for my pictures...I am "creating" an entire page design.  I love it!

From Scrapbook to Room Design

Happy Monday!  Today we'll look at a few more designs in scrapbooking and then the coordinated room designs for each one...what a way to start our week!


For those that haven't been aboard with us for long, I love to scrapbook, but rarely seem to find the time to do it much any more. I am hoping that will change during the winter months!!!  I have always said that scrapbooking is much like interior design.  The planning (room design), coordinating papers (like fabrics), embellishments for the page (artwork and accessories), etc....get the picture?  Take a look at some fun examples.

From Scrapbook...to Room Design!

I haven't done this in awhile now, but had such fun doing it before that I thought I'd try it again.  Today we are taking scrapbook designs and pairing them with room designs......how FUN is that?  Especially if you love to scrapbook!  I do and it's mostly because it is so much like room design....colors, patterns, textures, embellishments....etc.  Here we go!

Is this close enough?  I think so! Even down to the brown wall matched to her background brown paper. I'm already having fun!

Now this one, again by Tammy, has special sentimental meaning to me.  This is the card she made especially for me for my birthday this year...and in colors I adore (she knows me well)! Thanks again, Tammy, from someone who truly appreciates your "labor of love"! Is it not just pure "eye candy"...colors, patterns, design, shape, embellishments, etc...?

Believe it or not, this was as close as I could get. (but not as pretty as my card though - to me anyway!)

Hi there!  We are glad to say we are finished with market, but had such a tremendous time there!  Our eyes and heads have been saturated with colors, patterns, textures, ideas, new products......which, of course, gets that "creative energy" going.  So, for today, I thought I'd relax a bit by browsing through some great scrapbook finds (OK, indulge me a bit...remember I love scrap-booking since decorating a page is much like designing a room!). Just as with an interior design plan...a lot of time and thought is put into the planning stage, but when it's carried through....WOW!  What a look you have.
