Furniture for the Bathroom

I have to admit it...I really do love the look of using furniture pieces in the bathrooms...as opposed to traditional cabinets.  It gives the bathroom such a unique and inviting feeling vs...just a bathroom.  You guys with me on this idea?

So now, are you on-board with this...or not?  Do YOU have a piece of furniture in YOUR bathroom?  If so, how did you use it...storage, sink. etc?  We'd love to know!

ROOM REVEAL: Guest Bath

Remember one of the guest bedrooms we installed here...

(Major glare...so sorry!)

And then the same client's other guest bedroom we just posted on Monday (if you missed it, just back up one post!)

I had promised to reveal the guest bathroom that is in between these two guest bedrooms...so here are a few "phone" shots I took.   Now she has three adjoining rooms that flow nicely from one room to the other...all with a balance of color and patterns...and just HER style!

Right side of sink wall...she already had this little picture and we wanted to use it.  This spot was perfect!

This rug is an indoor/outdoor rug (which is great for a bathroom!) that we custom designed to not only "pop" a bit more of the red, but also to tie in the blue...especially since the client's carpet she had was blue in the adjoining bedrooms (you can see a little of the carpet here).

Remember this stripe fabric on our design board?  Well, here it is as a custom shower curtain...made much fuller than the standard 72" wide ready-made curtains.  She loved it!  The valance is attached and then trimmed out with red brushed fringe.

We also put a smaller rug, like the larger one at the sink, in the toilet area...here's a shot of it with the shower curtain.  This picture really doesn't show the colors in the shower curtain well, but in person...it looks really nice.

Here are the accessories we put over the toilet...the artwork ties in the colors in the fabrics nicely...as well as the bedroom paint colors (which is like the top mat in this artwork).  It also tied in all the colors well (including the blue wall color she already had in here).

This is the wall across from the toilet wall.  We added two smaller prints here. 

And that is it...the small guest bath reveal.  I hope you enjoyed a little peek into some of our design projects.  It's always so much fun seeing all the hard work and planning come to reality...and seeing happy clients!

"Simply Irresistible" Kitchen and Bath Renovation

Are you perhaps in need of a kitchen and/or bathroom renovation?  Well, take a look at what one talented interior designer from Arkansas created..."Simply Irresistible" in every way!

How about a light and airy new look like this one?  Clean crisp neutrals can create a space similar to this...with a few pops of color throughout...like that color on the hem of this roman shade.

Another pop of this lovely blue in the island and these lovely pendant lights...ah, it breathes the freshness of the sea. Oh, and I love these baskets in the end of the island.

It wouldn't be complete without state-of-the-art appliances like this double oven and warming drawer by KitchenAid.

Do you prefer cabinetry panels over the refrigerator doors...like shown here over this Sub-Zero refrigerator? How nice the extra prep sink is too...that always comes in handy!

Believe it or not this area use to be a side porch, but it has now been incorporated into this lovely kitchen design.  This built-in banquette is absolutely stunning, especially with this awesome Schumacher fabric...and look at the fabrics in these drapery panels.  There are three separate colors of linen used in them...again, stunning! A great lantern was used for lighting over the table to just set the tone here...don't you think?



And to further carry this sea-inspired color palette into the master bath...take a look at this!  A hint of blue-green is used in the tile border and roman shade...again..."Simply Irresistible"!



The aqua seaglass in the shower along with this rainfall showerhead make this a "step into luxury" feature.



I love this dark cabinetry worked into this airy space, along with these Pottery Barn mirrors and Stonegate scones.  Isn't it lovely?



Center stage in this room is the luxurious Kohler free standing tub...just under these beautiful roman shades on the windows and the hanging light fixture to match the sconces.



You know me and custom window treatments...!!!  Take a closer look also at this most unusual fabric which is paired with this stunning light fixture.  I simply can't get enough of it!

So there, you have it...a lovely kitchen and master bathroom renovation.  It makes you WANT to redo these rooms...even if you don't really need too...doesn't it?  These tranquil sea-inspired rooms bring a welcome cozy feel to each of these areas, that's for sure.  Mission accomplished for this homeowner!!!
