ROOM REVEAL: Guest Bath

Remember one of the guest bedrooms we installed here...

(Major glare...so sorry!)

And then the same client's other guest bedroom we just posted on Monday (if you missed it, just back up one post!)

I had promised to reveal the guest bathroom that is in between these two guest bedrooms...so here are a few "phone" shots I took.   Now she has three adjoining rooms that flow nicely from one room to the other...all with a balance of color and patterns...and just HER style!

Accessories on left side of sink...

Right side of sink wall...she already had this little picture and we wanted to use it.  This spot was perfect!

This rug is an indoor/outdoor rug (which is great for a bathroom!) that we custom designed to not only "pop" a bit more of the red, but also to tie in the blue...especially since the client's carpet she had was blue in the adjoining bedrooms (you can see a little of the carpet here).

Remember this stripe fabric on our design board?  Well, here it is as a custom shower curtain...made much fuller than the standard 72" wide ready-made curtains.  She loved it!  The valance is attached and then trimmed out with red brushed fringe.

We also put a smaller rug, like the larger one at the sink, in the toilet area...here's a shot of it with the shower curtain.  This picture really doesn't show the colors in the shower curtain well, but in person...it looks really nice.

Here are the accessories we put over the toilet...the artwork ties in the colors in the fabrics nicely...as well as the bedroom paint colors (which is like the top mat in this artwork).  It also tied in all the colors well (including the blue wall color she already had in here).

Another close-up shot of the shower curtain...

This is the wall across from the toilet wall.  We added two smaller prints here.

And that is it...the small guest bath reveal.  I hope you enjoyed a little peek into some of our design projects.  It's always so much fun seeing all the hard work and planning come to reality...and seeing happy clients!

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Kitchen Color Inspiration

Just a quick hello...and hoping you have enjoyed your Saturday.  I have to admit, I took it easy today and didn't really accomplish much.  It was actually really nice for a change!

As you may recall, my kitchen is white.  Lots and lots of white cabinets.  At one point I was ready to "do-away" with the white, but never quite decided that this was the right thing to do. While pondering a few needed wanted changes for the new year I came upon this simple inspiration...

Photobucket

I think this is just what I need to do with all of my WHITE...add those special "pops" of bright color in there.  Bar stools like these would be a great way to add a large punch of color..aren't they great?  Then, bowls of apples (for my red love), bright cheerful flowers...and who knows...maybe even a colored appliance or two (we shall see about this one though - I don't even like appliances to be out in the open on my kitchen counters...huh?  Come on...it's a KITCHEN, right?  I just want "pretty" in there...and that isn't really practical for every day use.) I think I'll also add some colored dishes especially in my cabinet with glass door fronts...ooh-la-la!  This will certainly change things up for the new year in there.

Yet another project to add to my To-Do List...will I ever get them all done?  We shall see!  What about YOU...any upcoming projects around YOUR home?

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

I Adore...

...the inspiration taken from Adore online magazine.  Take a look and see if you can guess WHY I adore it!

Is it "that" obvious friends?  OK, the colors (turquoise and pink together...ooh-la-la!) and then there is this beachy casual feel...ok, so you know me well by now!

Yes, we were talking Fall colors... but these colors can be used for Fall too...and they are right up my alley!  LOVE the combo of flowers on the table...and I ADORE those pink chairs!

And this one here inspires me for my new room make-over in my own home office.  I have Humble Gold walls with white trim, however I have been contemplating the idea of putting a bold contrasting colored rug like this in here...what do you think?

My problem is this...I LOVE so many styles and I see all of these wonderful inspirations...and then I can't seem to make a decision for ME.  Any of you out there like this?  There has to be a solution for this...maybe it's just "make a decision and GO FOR IT"!

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Adding in Some Fall Color

I don't know about you, but now that it's November and Thanksgiving is right around the corner...I want to add in some fall colors...just a "pop" here and there.  Do YOU want to add in some fall color, like perhaps orange, in your home?  I know I said I "don't do orange" and I don't, but that doesn't mean I don't like to use this color in some of our room designs that we do.

Here are a few inspiration photos I ran across that are great ways to add in some of this Fall color...

Maybe a few new placemats in orange...such a simple idea!

Or possibly add in some accent color with a few china pieces...TJ Maxx has some great ones this time of year too.  Together, with the pops of orange in the flowers, this makes quite a lovely table!

A really simple way is to add just a throw pillow...and maybe this little bit of florals to the side table.

If you really want to be a little more daring then maybe you'd consider repainting your front door in this color...thoughts???

"Tobi Fairley"
Lamps, pillows and a bench in orange...a great look in this room!

So, now you have a few easy ways to add in some orange...which do YOU like?  Are you considering adding it in for the holidays this month?  Do tell...!!!

Hope you are having a "Simply Irresistible" weekend!

Decorating with Florals

I simply LOVE adding final touches to our client's rooms with...florals!  Not just any florals, but especially hydrangeas.  There is just something about them that I adore.

And "to me" they are even better...in PINK!  However, since that isn't the chosen color in most of our projects...then any color that will compliment their decor will do.

For one room we are in the process of acessorizing, we will need to use a periwinkle blue.

Now you DO know that they come in many differing shades and colors, right?  They mass produce too, I do believe!  Just look at all the blooms.

Hydrangeas are our "go to" florals...in any room...any style.

Do you know what makes hydrangeas even more special?  They are really a great mix with just about any other kind of flowers.  See!!

Sometimes all you need is just a simple vase with one large stem...it will do the trick to "soften" the area...and add some color if you want.

When we don't want to add color, but need the softening effect then we usually use these.  They are perfect in any spot!

And don't forget the kitchen...yes, kitchens need some TLC too ("softening").  You'll be amazed of the warmth it creates in just about any place you put...HYDRANGEAS!

Now, how about you...do YOU decorate with hydrangeas?  If not, give it a try.  It's such an easy and inexpensive way to add charm in your home!

Have a "Simply Irresistible"  Day!
