Mad About You!

A wonderful new line of furniture from one of our vendors we frequently use and I am getting to use a few pieces on some upcoming projects...ya hoo!

I am loving this Cane Bed...in this white finish!  Isn't she a beauty?

The six drawer chest (that was in yesterday's post) will be going in a bedroom we're doing.

How about this lovely Cabriole Night Stand...yes, it too was in yesterday's post to be used with the darker finish chest above.  No matchy-matchy here!

Oh, and for the dining room of the week...here it is...
Primrose Hill
I simply love every detail...how about you? Isn't this furniture grand?

An upholstered sofa too...I love the curves on the arms!

Pedestal Accent Table - love the apron details on this piece.

What about this Veranda Console?  Like?

Ok, I'm sure by now I've shown you why I'm 'mad' about this collection and the fact that I get to deliver several pieces soon.  Did you have a favorite piece?  You can go here to view more in this collection...and many more too....Enjoy!

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Room Rescue

Today, I think I will share one of our current design projects that we  have just completed...wanna see?  It's the dining room of one of our clients we have been working with a room at the time.

It all started like this...on an inspiration board for our clients...

The inspiration board did just that...it "inspired" our homeowners and they decided it was time to give this room the green light to move forward with the makeover.  So, we placed the orders for all the "beauties" that would soon go in this room...as they opted for our "turn key" service.

A lovely warm cocoa oval dining table, with a star-burst top, takes center stage in the room.  It has two 20" leaves available so they will have room enough for their guests (however, the room is fairly small so actually only one can be used). It was just the perfect style for their tastes! I love the clean lines with that little taper flair on the bottom of the legs.

Next, the buffet...decided to use the matching buffet in this room design since (1) the room is small and (2) since they have an antique china cabinet that they also wanted to keep in this room (shown on inspiration board).  We simply moved it to another wall and placed this lovely buffet on the largest wall.  This way we won't have too many different furniture finishes going on in this small space.

Now, this buffet would not look complete unless it was surrounded with some color...right?  And, we needed the right colors since the walls are painted with Sherwin Williams "Brevado Red" shown here...

SW6320 Bravado Red

Are you ready for some accessory reveal?  OK, here is the hand-painted oil painting we selected for this project to go over the buffet and on that Bravado Red wall...not only did we carefully select it for the colors (which you've just GOT to see with the rug...a bit later!), but also for the framing which was perfect for the decor and also for the size...these are all important factors when selecting just the right accessories for your room...Here it is (oh, did I mention...she just absolutely LOVES flowers!)

Isn't it lovely?

A pair of these beautiful, also hand-painted, porcelain lamps in green, gold and red now frame out this artwork on either end of the buffet.  The colors pull from the colors in the picture and bring in another pattern - a striped swirl.

This really doesn't show the beauty of the colors well, but it's the best I could do for now...until we show you the real room reveal with everything in place from this make-over!

Are you now ready to see what kind of chairs we selected to go around this table?  Ah, they are beautiful....and no, they don't match the set...nope...we needed an element of softness and wanted to showcase more green in this room...here is the style. You can see the REAL thing soon.  These were custom-made in a luscious velvety green fabric that we also selected...different (and darker!) from this green shown here from catalog.

And I saved the thing that grounds the entire room for last...the rug!  I spotted this newly released rug at the High Point Furniture Market in April actually, knowing that we'd be doing this client's dining room when we finished another one of her projects...and I just knew it was THE one for her!  It has just recently been made available for shipment and finally came in (remember me being so excited when it came that I posted about it!!).  After a long wait for it...Here it is...

The colors are so lush and vibrant and it is absolutely perfect for her room.  We have been so excited as this entire project has unfolded...and so have our clients!  Once all of these were in, we topped it all off with those much needed accessories...you know, the "jewelry" that helps make that final WOW factor in a room! Since it was so near Thanksgiving we did Fall accessories (and are now getting ready to change seasons for her with new Christmas accessories!).

Well, being as this is the first room I have shared and unfolded this way on here...I hope you have enjoyed it.  I promise to reveal the entire room with pictures real soon.  I may even share "before" pics too. Thanks for sharing any opinions that you'd like to...and...let us know if you'd like to see more room reveals this way.

Remember, if you'd like to make YOUR room a little more..."Simply Irresistible"...then let us know!

Have yourself a "Simply Irresistible" Day!

Bench Fascination

Happy Monday fellow readers!  So glad you could join us today.  I have had a big fascination on benches lately...yes, benches.  There are so many places that these will work in the home, so many styles, finishes, sizes...etc.  Let's just take a look at some of them here today, OK?

I love a red bench...that "pop" of color on this fascinating little piece of furniture can do wonders for most any area.  Couldn't you see this  in your kitchen area ... or... perhaps inside the back door area?  Depending on your style you could even put it in the foyer area.  It would be a "welcoming" sight in most any place...don't ya think?

Here is an upholstered bench that is a simple style, yet could be worked into most any design style.  It would be great extra seating for the great room...or even the master bedroom. How easy to add the throw pillows to coordinate with any area of your home.

What about these benches added around this farmhouse table?  Like it?  I surely do.  Take a look at this kitchen area...actually it is mostly on the modern side of style...and yet this farmhouse table was incorporated in with it. Having these benches around it brings together that great blend of "country" and "modern".  How often do you see pairs of benches around a table?  Not often, right?  It's always good to think outside of the box!

Here is a bench with more exposed legs but also with a cushion.  I love benches that are as wide as the bed...lovely!

Another style bench that can be used most any where.  I even love it here at the foot of this bed too!

Perhaps you could use a bit of storage...well, this bench would do the trick.  Isn't it lovely with the tufted top...and it's functional.  One like this could be a great choice for a great room when you have kids and need a place to store a few toys in there...what do ya think?

I think a bench like this one by Phoebe Howard would be stunning in a foyer. It's gorgeous here with these neutral colors, but knowing me...I'd be popping some colors with my throw pillows.  What about you?

Here is even a whimsical side of benches...for a child's room.  How cute!

Keep in mind...a bench at the foot of your bed doesn't have to be just ONE...I like this look too!

Even a bench tucked underneath a table can do wonders...twofold...it will be extra seating to pull out when you need it and it "softens" the underneath of the table working as a "filler".  How about that!

Well, I could go on and on with more lovely photos, but I won't.  I hope I gave you enough to perhaps give you a fascination for benches.  Do you now want to add one to your home?  Do you already have benches worked into your decor?  If so, please share with us any creative ways you have used them or plan to use them...we'd love to know.

Enjoy your day and be sure to make it...

Friday Finds!

Whew...this has been an incredibly busy week here at Alpha & Omega Interiors. We have several new design programs "in the works" that we hope to announce in the very near future...right here on our blog! In working on our client projects this week we have seen SO many new and wonderful pieces of furniture, stunning new fabrics, gorgeous artwork....and the list goes "on and on".  I can certainly understand why so many of our clients tell us "the less choices, the better".  I certainly do see how it can be extremely confusing for most people to try and decide exactly which pieces they like the best AND which ones will all work together. So, in saying all of this...today will be just a conglomerate of many things!

Here is a new sofa introduction from one the furniture lines we carry, Lee Industries (see entire collection at Leeindustries.com). I love the "white" (available in many other fabric options as well) because then you are able to pop any color scheme with it.

Here we have their new chair introduction but without the skirting.  I love this classy style (in any of their fabrics!). But, for today, let's pop some of that color on these with one of these new stunning fabrics...perhaps this new release...

Here is the new "Chinese Chirpendale" fabric from the Tobi Fairley collection...absolutely stunning in my eyes...in any color!

Or how about this oversized Damask (also in the Tobi Fairley collection) in any of these scrumptious colors?  Can you see that pair of white chairs now...in any one of these colors?  I certainly can!  These are definitely...a "Simply Irresistible" find.

   Links Pillow

Butterfly Pillow
  green and natural zebra pillow
Or...dash those neutral furnishings with just a pop of color from some Jonathon Adler pillows!  That's sure to turn your "drab" into "fab" in an instant.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall"...take a look at this lovely "Perched Bird" mirror with a heavily antiqued silver finish and burnished distressing. Why not add one to your decor?

Robert Abbey Chase Brass 15" Wide Flushmount Ceiling Light
Is it simply time to change those out-of-date ceiling light fixtures...you know, the ones you have had there forever?  What do you think of this style...how fashionable is that?

VERP-VP49-BKW
Now for the floors...which makes SUCH an impact to any area.  This is one of the new introductions in a popular line we use quite often.

CONTO-CON02-MOC
For those of you that enjoy browns and more muted shades of color, here's another new intro in our rug line. Isn't it stunning as well?

Here's a look at some great Robert Abbey gourd lamps we've been working with.  They are available in many great colors that will go with most any color palette.  At market, they even introduced 'lucite' bases...so now your base options are unlimited no matter what your taste. Let's admit...wouldn't a pair of these be "Simply Irresistible" with one of those new fabrics shown today...WOW!  Or...how 'bout a pair of the blue gourd lamps with that last new rug in brown and blue? Oh, just one more thought...how about the red gourds sitting along side that white sofa combined with that new black-n-white area rug? A very classy look indeed!

Well, we thank you for stopping by today and hope you enjoyed seeing our mix of "finds" and that they, in some way, even inspired you to start thinking of ways to redecorate your surrounding.  Remember, if you need the design plan so you can implement it yourself...just contact us or treat yourself to our full-service interior design.  We always make it FUN, EASY, and AFFORDABLE at Alpha & Omega Interiors!

Have a blessed and "Simply Irresistible" week-end!
