A Stickley leather Morris Recliner going in a client's morning room. Funny story, they visited The Grove Park Inn in Asheville (here in NC) last month and spent most of their time in one of these recliners in the lobby area. It was much to cold to go outside and they fell in love with the cozy comfort and relaxation that this chair offered...after all, that IS what they got away for (R & R)! Now they've decided to add one (to replace their current recliner) in one of their own rooms. So, we are working with Stickley Furniture to get them one of their very own!
A gorgeous leather sofa...also from Stickley! You should see all of the details with the accents in a basketweave leather. You might can tell more about it from the picture below...
This is another piece that we are working on this week! Can't wait to see it in the client's great room. You talk about COMFORT...this is it!
Then there is a bedroom project...so needless to say, the work area is covered up with "fabrics"...choices, choices, choices!
Thinking of a chocolate guest bedroom accented in the green and reds...I like this choice ALOT. It would be entirely different from the other bedrooms - it's upstairs and own it's own...so that's why I'm thinking about taking it in this direction (and because she has a picture that she wants to use in here somewhere and it will work with that too!).
Then there is this one...
...that would look great in there...see, I told you, choices! Lots of them this week!
Oh, the client, she is open to whatever we come up with...she said she just "trusts our tastes and vision"! As always though, I keep HER taste, likes and dislikes in mind too. It's an entire room design - furnishings, bedding, draperies, artwork, accessories...the whole works, so this is just the beginning stages.
On another note - also happening this week...
Black or white shade? Hum, I'm leaning towards the black one! What about YOU? It's a ceramic bamboo lamp in a lovely shade of teal. Amazing what changing out a lamp shade will do.
And...
We will start working on art placement for a wall going up the stairway...lots of framed pictures to place and hang. I think we're going to template first then play around with the arrangement on the wall also...the floor can only hold so many ya know!
So my dear readers, that is just a partial peek into our week. How about YOU? Do you have good intentions for lots of projects around YOUR house this week...inside or outside?
Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!
Ta-Ta!
