Homeowner Inspired by the Sea

I certainly hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.  I surely did! Of course I don't think I ever really take time off from searching for lovely things to bring to the blog...even on holidays.  It is relaxing and I enjoy it so much that I never seem to stop!

Today I just had to share with you some great photos from a homeowner that decorated her home so tastefully, yet livable, and actually got her inspiration from the sea! Take a look at how each room reflects her love of what she was intrigued by...the spectrum of colors from the blue water and sky, the neutrals of the sand and driftwood, the white from the shells, etc. These photos were showcased in last month's issue of  Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. I just fell in love when I saw them...and I hope you will enjoy! (Oh, the photos run over just a bit, but I wanted to enlarge them so you could better see the details of each room.)

Beth Elsey, this homeowner, has certainly accomplished the charm in her Georgian style home with simplicity, yet style and elegance...and indeed a bit of that Southern charm. You can also easily see the display of balance and symmetry in each room in her choice and placement of the accessories. I just found it all to be "Simply Irresistible"! It is evident that her inspiration came from the childhood time spent at the beach, as she explains in the article. She says this dictated the direction for decorating her home.  It definitely has all the ingredients to reflect a calming ambiance... wouldn't you agree?

Have a "Simply Irresistible" Day!
