Tablescape Tuesday

Since we've just looked at painted front doors (Monday's post) as a way to freshen up your entry...I thought we'd step on inside and look at some tablescapes in foyer areas.  A tablescape is an arrangement of items gathered into a grouping and placed on top of the table.  This important area in your home should not be overlooked by any means.  Just as the front door (and surrounding outside area) says "welcome"...once you step inside, it should do the same.  If you have enough space, a table is always pleasing to the eye...especially when decorated in your style and with accessories you love. Of course an area rug (or runner if more appropriate for the size)  is also a way to warm up the space and pull color to the floor.  Then, there is the wall behind the table to consider....so, as you can see...lots of details, but take a look at these "well dressed" foyers!

Simple design, yet stunning!

Now here's a table filled with colorful "lovelies"

Love the use of books and flowers (which softens the table area)...also the decor on these walls!

Let's "mod" it up a bit here. Great use of color...and more books!

What an "invite" this is with the colors and simple accessories (notice also even the use of upholstered benches in the foyer using the color from the picture....and don't miss the rug to the left of the door)!

How about the simplicity of this great look? The wall art could be wallpaper or fabric of your choice...great idea and great look!

Smaller areas may require smaller tables, but can still make a welcoming statement...especially with the use of color.

Simple, yet elegant...even the rug carries this blue accent. Love it!

Lovely traditional tablescape with propped picture (not hung) and other accessories! I always love using round mirrors...it breaks up all the other rectangular shapes that are used both in the furniture and architecture.

Simply decorated, but oh so lovely!

Another cozy and inviting foyer area using different finishes and a personal touch - the photo.

As you can see...the foyer area needs to have some pizazz of it's own.  It can be heavily accented with accessories or kept simple.  Either way, it will give your visitors a friendly, warm welcome when they arrive!  So when you begin your foyer tablescape, remember a few easy ways to decorate with the use of lamp(s), candlesticks, porcelain or pottery pieces, books, florals, and other unusual pieces you may find.

If you should need or want assistance making your tablescapes and/or foyer... "simply irresistible", be sure to let us know.  We have both local and long-distance design services available and...we make it FUN, EASY, and AFFORDABLE!

Have a most blessed and "Simply Irresistible" day!
